HENRY GLASS - Cavalier Crows - Jan Mott - 2812-35 FQ
Crane Designs' latest collection, Cavalier Crows was inspired by our love of autumn and day trips to the local pumpkin farm. Our first stop at the local farm was a hike through the rows and rows of pumpkins. All shapes, sizes and colors dotted the field. We were graced by a murder of crows picking seeds from a pumpkin that split open. Our next stop at the farm was walking through the tall fields of sunflowers. Blooms bursting with color and seeds for harvesting. Great feed for birds to give our feathered friends throughout the winter. Of course, the crows didn't miss this treat either, pecking at the sunflowers seeds for an afternoon treat. Harvest time is the best season of the year with the rich, colorful brilliance of the season. We thrill at the bounty of threats. We cart home and admire the haul as we sit and sip a mug of warm cider. This collection started with a wool applique project, also called Cavalier Crows. We adapted this wool applique project into a fabric collection. This new collection is just brimming with an abundance of striking coordinates waiting to be-sewn into smart projects. These projects could range from wall hangings, quilts to kitchen coordinates. Imagine table runners or even a placemat. We hope you are inspired to create a few beautiful, quilted treasures from the Cavalier Crows collection.
